Not the kind of awesome that means you just nailed a jump across the grand canyon (although that's great too) but here's an example.
So we went to a members house for a dinner appointment last Thursday. We'd talked to her before and she'd told us that her boyfriend, when he came to church with her, felt something and when he described it to her she told him that it was the Holy Ghost.
Him: Nu-uh!
So we came in mind to describe what the Holy Ghost was. This was one of the lessons where we had no idea what to expect, so after a weight-watchers dinner we all gathered around the couch and had a wonderful lesson where everyone contributed and shared the thoughts of their hearts.
Fast forward a few days.
We've honestly forgotten about the lesson we've just had and so we go to say hi to the members who are hosting a Valentines party. We only intended to stay for a few minutes but lo and behold as soon as we enter the building we're asked to be the judges for the dessert competition. So (begrudgingly) we stay and partake and overall have a good time when the member comes up to us and tells us something along the lines of. My boyfriend loved having you over and was wondering if we could have you over again this next Thursday. We happily agree and then as if almost a side comment she said "Oh and he had a dream about being baptised so he's really pumped."
That was a good evening for us.
Anyways on the subject of Valentines day. Call me crazy but I'v never been a big fan of the holiday, but looking through the many different things that missionaries share with one another I found this....
