It's noteworthy to mention how differently our children react to touching grass. There is something disconcerting about a thousand little blades touching your bare legs and arms. Steven was so terrified by the event that he would cry and refuse to crawl when placed in the middle of the lawn. I can remember him crawling across my folks' rough, rough sidewalk rather than brave a shortcut across the grass.
Mimi, when laid on her back, is frozen with sensory overload. We tried flipping her over, and she was pretty good . . .
. . . for a while :)
Oh my goodness! She's such a cutie! Is she already that big?

ReplyDeleteThat's a great progression!
ReplyDeleteI could put Clara on a blanket in the middle of the lawn and rest assured she was contained. She wouldn't even touch grass till she could walk.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!!! My Ellie was the same way with the grass! I can't believe how big she is getting.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful eyes!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh! These are the cutest pitures ever! LOVE her! The pictures make it look like the tears are as likely from fatigue from holding up her huge noggin as from the grass. Just imagine if you head weighed as much as the rest of your body!
