Awesome!
I mean, I never want to go through it again, but here are the plus's to not having a car.
1. Walking,
That's right, God gave us two feet so that we could walk, and whilst you only have two and cannot replace them (as much as you might like) it keeps you feeling alive!
2. Bikes (kindof)
Bikes are an extension of onesself, to ride a bike you understand it, its' fears, its' desires and passions. Because if you don't the back tire will pop and you'll be back to fantastic thing #1 Walking
3. Members
Hear me out, normally members look at our car and are like "Wow I can't believe they let you missionaries drive stuff like that" Making us woefully aware that's it's the nicest ride we'll ever have for the next 10-30 years of our life. So when you tell them that you're car will be gone for a space of time the spirit pulls their heartstrings and they offer rides. There are so many wonderful things we had the blessing of doing because members were willing to give us rides.
So I say that it was awesome, but really I only went without a car for three days, my comp went without one for four, so I guess I really should be asking him what he thought about it... Whatever :) The real miracle is that we got to go out and about serving the Lord, we talked with people and showed off the name tag, all whilst building member trust and appreciation for the blessings the Lord has given us. That AC ride when we got our car back was heavenly.
We also had the incredible opportunity to have a wonderful district meeting as well (I'll let my video self talk about that one, to add details it was a good district meeting, I just set high expectations for the missionaries)
